TOUR ITINERARY
- DAY 1
Day one begins from Ayers Rock. we can arrange to pick you up at the airport (subject to flight arrival details) or at Ayers Rock Resort, with pickup at the resort scheduled for approximately 1:30 PM. (This tour can also commence in Alice Springs)
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. You’ll have the opportunity to take short walks around the base of the magnificent Uluru, immersing yourself in the sacred traditions and stories of the Anangu people.
One of the day’s highlights will be sipping drinks and savouring BBQ while watching the sunset on Uluru—a truly unforgettable experience.
After the sun has dipped below the horizon, you’ll be taken to the Sails in the Desert Hotel, the flagship hotel at Ayers Rock Resort.
- DAY 2
Today begins with an early start, but the experience will be truly rewarding! Enjoy a breathtaking sunrise view of Uluru with a cup of coffee or tea to kickstart your day. After sunrise, we’ll return to your hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, we’ll set off to explore Kata Tjuta, where you’ll take a leisurely walk through Walpa Gorge and enjoy the spectacular views from the site’s viewing platform. Following this, we’ll head back to the resort. If you are returning to Alice Springs, we will pick you up at the resort for the transfer. Please note that you can do optional/additional activities at the resort, at your own expense, and subject to availability.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the departure and return times?
We depart Alice Springs on day 1 at approximately 6:45 am. For those who opt to be picked up at Ayers Rock, departure is at approximately 1:30 pm. At the conclusion of the tour on day 2, you will be dropped off at Ayers Rock Resort just before lunch. If you are returning to Alice Springs, we will pick you up at Ayers Rock Resort just after sunset and will be dropped off at your Alice Springs accommodation at approximately midnight.
What accommodation is included?
Included in the cost of the package is a 1 night accommodation in a twin share room at Sails in the Desert Hotel (Ayers Rock Resort).
Is there any alternative accommodation?
Yes, this package is also available with accommodation at the 3.5 star Outback Hotel
Can I bring my family?
This package is designed for adults, if you wish to travel with children under 18 please get in touch.
Which meals are included?
Included meals are:
- Day 1 – Drinks and BBQ at sunset

Can my dietary requirements be accommodated?
We are able to cater for one of the following special dietary requests upon request: vegetarian, gluten-free or dairy-free. If you have a food allergy (e.g. peanuts), please advise at the time of booking and carry any necessary medication with you on tour.
What about BYO?
If you wish to bring any beer or other drinks for the Uluru sunset, we recommend a limit of 2-3 drinks per person. You can give them to your guide to keep in the cooler so you can enjoy them with the Uluru sunset on day 1.
What should I bring on the tour?

How many people are on each tour?
We have a maximum of 14 people on the tour vehicle. You will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.
Can I bring my family?
This package is designed for adults, either single or a couple. If you opt for the couple’s price and want to have your child as your travel companion, the minimum age requirement is 16.
